Today was our show at the Buddy Club in Berkeley. The show was a blast with the new cannon trick. We also introduced me crewmate Polly. If you missed our show today you can see us on Pier 39 in San Francisco, March 7 at 1:45pm, Capn’s vessel is a bit bumpy, so I’m gonna go make sure Polly’s ok and feed her. See ya on Pier 39 or on the wharf in San Francisco. Maynard

Ooh! Ooh!
Last weekend the Cap’n and meself went in search of a new vessel. We spent the time ashore speakin to many kind people (possible crew) while lookin for a seaworthy ship.
We were performing down on the wharf, at the port of San Francisco across from The Cannery. We had such a blast that we’ll be out there every weekend! We’re gonna be on Pier 39 someday since the people LOVE me ….err…umm…..I mean US!
I’ll keep you posted.

So back to me tail…err…um…I mean tale! The cap’nz story that is. Throughout his travels “Ace” met and worked with some interestin’ people.William Wizard, Slydini, Dai Vernon, Patrick Martin and Harry Anderson, to name a few.He traveled to the Magic Castle and won many awards for performing magic. Yet something was missing; the seas were still callin’ to him. Then he met her; Mambo Mama. They’ve been sailin’ the seas for 27 years now. He’s kept her on as his personal spiritual guide and compass cuz she always leads him in the right direction and would never steer him wrong or abandon ship. Together their travels took them on many an adventure. These adventures began with Penn & Teller and continued on through a myriad of talent. Performing with Dudley the Talking Rabbit, John Gilkey, Tommy Drake and Christian Fitzharris in shows such as Circus Minimus, Adventure Ace and Tommy the Wonder Boy; in places like Great America and on TV shows like The Good Time Café and the Disney Channel. They were a force to be reckoned with. Eventually Pirates of The Caribbean the movie came out in theaters. This set Ace back on course as for bein a pirate and he evolved into Capt’n Jack Spareribs. Halloween 2003 the Cap’n and Mambo Mama put together a small crew and announced the arrival of the Pirates of Harbor Bay. And now it’s time to close me eyes and count bananas as I drift off to jungle land. WHAT?! I’m just a monkey!

With the weather bein so up and down(choppy waters) I thought I’d tell the tale of Capt’n Jack Spareribs…the real story…
He was born Geoffrey Homann Miles…
Very proud of the Homann part, as his grandfather was not just a sailor…but Commander Alfred James Homann USN and was one of the highest ranking surviving crew of the USS Arizona in Pearl Harbor.
His grandfather took him to his first magician, William Wizard…at the age of 6
His mother took him to Disneyland the same year… where he visited the magic shop and rode the Pirates of the Caribbean sailed on the “pirate ship” Columbia…
Where he vowed to become a pirate…and of course a magician too!
. As a child he knew he would sail the seas, just as his grandfather did; but there was the magician/performer inside of him that kept him on land. He began following his dream of bein’ a magician and by age 10 he was performing at kids parties doing magic and building haunted houses every year at halloween for the neighborhood. His first job was at FunWay Carnivals at age 14. By the time he was in highschool he was known as “Ace”. I’m gonna stop here… Me tails crampin’. WHAT?! I’m just a monkey!

Ahoy maties!
Maynard the Monkey speakin’ at you here.
I’ve been travelin’ these waters with Cap’n Jack by meself for years and finally in 2007 we managed to pick up a small crew consistin’ of some of the most feisty, ferocious and funniest scallywags you’ll ever meet.
Take a look at the “who we rrr” page or talk to us on the crew’s forum. I’ll be checkin’ in as often as I can but I’m kinda slow at typin’… I’m just a monkey!
Ooh ooh! Cap’n’s callin. Feedin time!
